Go eat here! You won't regret it!! One of the best sushi restaurants in Fort Worth! Delicious, fresh-tasting sushi, excellent service and a clean, modern Asian ambiance. My husband and I especially loved the kushiage calamari for an appetizer. We'll definitely be dining again here soon!

Tamaki is by far my favorite sushi place in crazy Fort Worth. The fish tank and cayenne rolls are my favorite, but everything I've had has been very tasty. Great drink/beer prices as well. I never understand why Tamaki isn't more crowded (not that I'm complaining.)

I do not know why it took me so long to try this place out, and that's sad to say because I HAVE been missing out! This place is a gem on Magnolia. The sushi roll combinations are fantastic! Plating was decadent and the service top notch. And then the bill came ... And it left $ in my wallet for coffee afterwards! I have about 10 more visits ahead of me to get it all in!

FYI to all patrons of Temaki Sushi. The owners keep all server tips. Do not tip at this restaurant because they exploit their servers to line their own pockets.

Oh how I love this sweet little restaurant! Erin and Alex are the sweetest couple and the most attentive owners I have ever met! The menu always has something new to try and the sushi is authentic and soooo good. The place is always clean and welcoming even in a dinner rush. I'm not exaggerating when I say I could probably eat here everyday.

Went here for the valentines 7 course meal and we we very very happy with the meal that we received. The starter salad was spicy but fresh and had a nice blend of flavours. The second course was tuna sashimi with plums and this was my favourite course of the meal. The third course was the seared scallops. This was then followed by some assorted sashimi and rolls of beef and other rolls of king crab. By the time the last course of tempura ice cream arrived I was so full but of course with everything else being so good I indulged and kept eating! I'm from Vancouver where fabulous Japanese food is plentiful, so I was so very happy to see the restaurant decorated with Japanese ambience to compliment the delicious food. Thank you Temaki, we will be back next time we are in ft worth! I've attached some pics taken with my iPhone if some of the food.

Hello, this place is awesome. Came here for lunch today with my sister-in-law and we were both very pleased. The interior is cute, it reminds me a lot of a frozen yogurt shop. Modern furniture complimented by a pastel palette, like friendly minimalism. The whole restaurant (including the bathroom) was exceptionally clean, and I really enjoyed the music. Now, FOOD! The food was great. We each got miso soup (a little blander than some miso soups I've had, but still a classic), and tried three rolls: Fish Tank, Philly, and Crispy Melt. The Philly was as it always is everywhere, the Fish Tank was so fresh (the pieces were large, but soft enough to eat in two bites), and the Crispy Melt (tempura) was my fave. Everything we had was so soft and fresh, no yucky pieces. Definitely will re-visit, especially since it is so close to my house!

Absolutely a neighborhood gem, incredible vibe and food. The kushiage is amazing and the "rice-cetti" roll is hands down the best roll I've ever had in a Japanese restaurant. Honestly can say I can't wait to come back.

Excellent lunch. The waiter (felt like he might have been the owner) made us feel warm and welcome. I was surprised how hot the spicy stuff was (this is a good thing) and how good the basics were (miso soup and side salad). Very fresh, clean, and the sushi was a high quality. We had just visited the Samurai Collection over at the Kimbell, so sushi seemed appropriate. My only reservation was the art on the walls, which felt dated and .. well, it's just not my favorite. An upgrade on the art might be in order .. but hey, whatever. Overall, would definitely come back on our next trip to the Museum

Jonesing for a good japanese lunch, I decided to venture away from 7th street to try Temaki on Magnolia. After sitting down in the (empty) restaurant, I ordered a sashimi bento box, and chose the veggie dumplings, tempura vegetables as sides. While waiting, I munched on some thoughtfully provided prawn crackers. Once the box arrived, I was somewhat disappointed at the size of the sashimi. I understand keeping things spare, but my goodness, it was the same size as a slice of fish on a nigiri (hand roll)! And only three pieces. Quite a shame, considering the Bento is $12. The vegetable dumplings were decent, but had an overwhelming flavor of water chestnut. The tempura vegetables were standard...didn't really jump out in any particular way. The requisite california roll was ok. Considering the price, and comparing to the other japanese restaurants in the area, and the size of sashimi provided at those other locations, I doubt I would return to Temaki. Perhaps lunch is not their strong suit?

This was our first time to eat here and we were not disappointed. The atmosphere was nice and relaxing and quiet and I loved the music selection playing in the background. The sushi was excellent! Very fresh fish! Try the lemon wasabi tuna, excellent but different. We tried three different roles and all were great! We will be back!

Very impressive both in quality of the food and impeccable service. Everything we've tried so far has been super good. The atmosphere has a relaxed vibe which we truly enjoy. It's so nice to be able to conversation without having talk over a loud restaurant.

Gave this place a try tonight with the roommates. Great! First thing I noticed is how great this place would be for a date. The owner is very congenial. Simple, fantastic decor. Open til 10 pm. Menu is not too big. I'd recommend trying the stir-fry shrimp ramen with veggies. I want to say it had broccolini and edamame. We also got spicy tuna rolls, cayenne rolls (crawfish), dragon rolls (super white tuna), miso soup etc. All was fresh, with great distinct clarity of flavor. You can opt for brown rice roll at no charge if you're worried about carbs. Considering how close this is to the new place, this may become a regular rainy day grub spot! Ask for Iris. Great service.

In loooooove with this place! So many creative items! I'm a sushi fanatic and there is nothing on the menu I dislike. The cute and friendly atmosphere makes it even better. I've only been here a few times, but expect to see me more often! I love the orange zest salmon sashimi, as well as the red snapper w/ Asian pears. This restaurant needs more people to know about it!!

Great place! Love the atmosphere. Staff very friendly. Food is fresh and good which obviously is important for sushi. Convenient location for people working in the hospital district. Will definitely come back :)

Excellent food! Enjoyed the unique items on the menu. The sea vegetable salad was delightful and different as well as the crisp sushi roll and the dessert as well. Lovely environment. Romantic music. Alex (one of the owners) is absolutely charming. Thanks.

It was my first time here. Service was wonderful. The music is splendid. My husband and I ordered the Fish Tank, Crispy Melt and Sashimi Combo. The fish was fresh. The food was excellent. We also ordered tempura chocolate ice cream. It was the bomb! The price you pay for the quality of food is perfect in my eyes. I will definitely be coming back.

I wasn't blown away and there was no real Ramen Soup on the menu as Yelp implies. (My fault for not reading the menu in detail.) Overall the Food was good, service was good, and place is quaint with great music.

Hands down favorite sushi in Ft. Worth! The atmosphere is great and the owners are wonderful- they always remember customers. The sushi is really fresh and well done, no deep fried cream cheese slathered rolls. I love the rolls with forbidden (black) rice available on weekends. And for dessert they have house-made macarons that are the very best in town and rival the Parisian ones - seriously! Love this place!!

  • Sam P.

Being a sushi lover I have to give this place 3 stars. The food was fresh, however it was not of the quality I expect. The second star was lost on service. If you don't know the people working there, you can forget about great service. They will take your order, bring it to you, and bring you the check, nothing in between.

    (3)
  • Miguel G.

Atmosphere was great and I enjoyed the feel of finding a nice hole-in-the wall restaurant. I only gave three stars because I thought the sushi was average, service was slow, and the sushi chef and staff was overwhelmed with a half full restaurant. Sushi was definitely not 4.5 stars like yelp initially showed, but decent.

  • Kevin Q.

This is one of our favorite sushi spots in Fort Worth. We consistently eat lunch here. The portions and prices are reasonable. The food is fresh and delicious. The service is always excellent. I suggest the spicy tuna, any of the nigiri, and a ramen dish.

After visiting a relative in the hospital in Ft. Worth, I checked yelp to see what was close and not too expensive. I love the fact you can check yelp, while driving down the street, (I wasn't driving!) before you enter any place to view the menu and see the prices. We ended up at Temaki Sushi and I can't imagine we could have had a better experience in the other many restaurants in that neighborhood. There were about 4 tables with 4 or 5 people and one table of ten. The gentleman (later found out he was the owner, with his wife, who was also there) gestured to a table and we sat down. They were pretty busy with the big table, but brought us our menus after a couple of minutes and we ordered wine and a beer. He brought it to us and we ordered the rest of our meal. Along with some potstickers, sashimi and soup, my husband asked if ordering another roll with splitting an entree dish would be too much food. He suggested we not order it til we had the entree. I thought that was pretty good, not trying to over sell it to us. They brought us an extra beer and wine on the house, and apologized for the wait. We hadn't even thought it was too long at that point. After the soup and sashimi they also brought us some edamame on the house. The table of ten asked for ten separate checks and they didn't bat an eye - took care of them with a smile. Overall the food was very fresh, the yellow tail really flavorful and fresh. We did end up ordering the extra roll because I just had to have more sushi! It's a small place, not a lot of space, less than two years old, but they know what they're doing. The prices were really reasonable. The menu looks very interesting, not a huge variety of rolls, but some different dishes on the menu, and next time we head to Ft. Worth, we'll definitely make a stop there. Almost forgot the mochi ice cream at the end! Delicious!!

Can I say brown rice sushi!!! Awesome and Affordable. The menu is pretty simple and you order out the counter and the lady brings the food out to you. They are really nice and explain a good amount. Especially since I ask a lot of questions. I tried the inari appetizer and the hot summer roll. Both were really good. The hot summer roll had just the right amount of kick for sushi and the inari was a new thing for my taste buds. I gobbled that down as well. The place is clean and minimalist feel.

My go to sushi spot in FW. One of the only places in town that doesn't deep fry every roll or put cream cheese in it. Fresh sushi! The owners are great..always a warm experience eating here.

I have lived in most of the southern United States including Las Vegas. This is the best sushi I have ever had.

  • Andrew L.

I'm sorry, but I just don't understand the crazy high ratings here. I guess it's the brown rice and relatively cheap menu? Either way, my gf and I didn't enjoy the food. The rice was dry and nigiri was extremely compressed. The cuts of fish were terrible and not fresh. The hand rolls were similarly bad as was the green tea (from cheap tea bags). The one thing we did like was the onigiri, which was a rice roll that had been cut, pan fried, then topped with mushrooms and other stuff. It was a nice twist on onigiri and sushi. The owners were very nice, but that didn't make the food taste better unfortunately.

Ordered to-go and wanted a sashimi plate. They said "No, we do not do that." I am a little confused why a sushi restaurant cannot cut multiple pieces of fish, put it on a plate, and charge me for it. Walked in to pick up my order and the place had NOBODY in it at 7PM. Is this a sign? Owner seemed nice and was prompt to get my order. Salmon/Escolar/Yellowtail Sashimi - they were very thin (pre-cut might I add..) pieces. The escolar was a little chewy but the others were okay. Seaweed salad - just regular seaweed salad, I like regular seaweed salad. Prosciutto Roll - I told the owner to get me the most popular roll. He gave me this. It is salmon with eggplant tempura inside topped with prosciutto. I will not be getting this roll again. Although most of it was okay, it fell way below expectations for a sushi joint. Shinjuku station is just down the street.. I suggest you go there for dinner instead if you are craving sushi. You will be paying a little more, but it is better than this place. Sorry Temaki Sushi, you did not do much to impress.

Great sushi @ fair prices. Go on Thursday for black rice, clean, earthy and delicious. I've returned several times and been pleased every time. Consistency is paramount.

No!!!!! I didn't think sushi could be so gross! Disgusting. For the first time in the history of Ken's existence, he didn't finish his sushi! Piranha KICKS Temaki's ASS and I didn't even like Piranha that much. I ordered miso soup, 1 salmon temaki, 1 spicy tuna roll, and 1 crunchy Tempura roll. The spicy tuna was DISGUSTING! GROSS! The salmon cuts were awful! If it weren't for the tempura on that roll, I probably couldn't have finished that one either! I paid $25 for all of that; a bad taste lingered in my mouth for an hour after lunch.

LOVED THIS PLACE!! This was a recommended place and I had a great dinner. I can't quite remmeber the names of the rolls I got, but they were delicious! The service was spot on, the food was fresh and flavorful and believe it or not...for a restaurant on Magnolia Avenue, it was very affordable! Will definitely be back!

We went here for lunch today, intrigued by all the 4 and 5 star reviews. What we found was a clean, attractive, low-key 'order at the counter' kind of sushi place that appears at first to be cheap by sushi standards (though not by lunch standards), and that has decent but not extraordinary food. We ordered potstickers, crunchy tempura roll, and three of the daily specials ( a 5 piece albacore sashimi w/ cucumbers, an albacore tuna roll, and a volcano roll (not like most places volcano roll, this is a vegetable roll that has imitation crab on top drizzled with sauce, served warm). The presentation of each dish was quite attractive, definitely better than you'd expect for 'fast food' sushi. My favorite dish was the potstickers- you get 4 small ones for $3, followed by the crunchy tempura roll (a good deal at $5, shrimp tempura, extra crunchies on the outside, drizzled with eel sauce). The albacore roll and the sashimi were tasty and fresh, but not much food - the sashimi was cut very thin so $8 for five small pieces of fish and some cucumbers seemed a bit steep, and the roll was not particularly large at $7). I did like the lemony wasabi sauce on the sashimi. I did not care for the volcano roll. There was no need for it to be served warm given its ingredients and I think that detracted a bit. We were both still quite hungry after four mains and an appetizer. Usually we are full on 3-4 rolls (admittedly we tend to order 'fancy' rolls which are often a little bigger), but these rolls are quite small. To be full we'd have needed two more rolls at least, possibly 3. Which would have bumped the price up to a usual sushi dinner price of $20-25 per person. I suspect the bento boxes are a much better deal. They are $9 and looked (from a distance) like they came with a big bowl of soup, I am not sure what else. One minor complaint I have is that there is no explanation of what any of their items are. A person unfamiliar with sushi (or even just unfamiliar with their restaurant) will be lost trying to figure out what they want. If I worked close by this would be a decent lunchtime stop for days when I'm not super hungry. However, I can't see it as a destination in and of itself because the food isn't out of the ordinary and once you order enough food to fill up, the prices aren't either. Here I go, busting up nearly perfect reviews again. I really don't do it deliberately (in fact I agreed with the near-perfect reviews of another sushi place just a few days ago!)

Went here with my girlfriend and some friends by chance. We had originally planned on eating at the Bearded Lady, but they were packed so we decided on sushi. I've never been so happy that my dinner plans changed. We split an appetizer of pork pot stickers which were probably the best pot stickers we've had at any place. I ordered the spicy tuna roll and the salmon sashimi. The tuna roll was amazing and had just enough spice. The sashimi left a little to be desired. It wasn't bad, but it was lacking something against the sushi. My girlfriend, who had never had sushi before, ordered the vegetable roll which was fresh and crispy, just what a vegetable roll should be. Our friends ordered a caterpillar roll and another plate that I can't remember the name of. The caterpillar roll looked amazing with the fresh avocado and sauce. Whenever I go back, that's definitely on my list of things to try. An added plus was the beer/sake selection. While not huge, the prices were very inexpensive for the Japanese beers when compared to other restaurants in the area. If you're in the Magnolia area, this is definitely worth a visit.

I hadn't been to Temaki in a while, and I love the new menu and table service! The food was always tasty in the past, but lacking some excitement, I thought. I just went in the other day for lunch, and had great service, an awesome combination in my bento box, and thought it was a great deal. I was quickly seated, the waitress gave me some suggestions, and I ended up with the sashimi bento box with a salad, the tempora tofu and spring rolls. The sashimi was really fresh, I loved the salad dressing and the tofu was sinfully delicious. I really liked getting to have a little bit of everything, and you can't beat the price. I will definitely be back for this lunchtime deal!

I wish I could have had a better experience here. The sushi was a bit dry. I give it the 3 stars because service was fast and friendly. I've had better sushi :/ It's also a very clean place and modern decor.

Wow, very good! A limited menu done very well. Especially enjoyed the Red Venom roll. I had the Bento box with the hand roll. My dinning companion had the pot stickers and a spicy tuna roll and we split the Red Venom roll. We got there early and it wasn't too busy. They only had 2 people there, one cooking and the other was manning the register and cooking. This could be a problem if the place was busier.

  • Kristina M.

The decor is absolutely lovely and the price is right. Options range from $3-9 with vegan-capability. I ordered bento box for $9 which includes temaki, nigiri, or california roll of my choice. I chose temaki salmon, plus three side items. I chose seaweed salad, tempura and potstickers. The food came out in a beautifully lacquered bento box. The temaki consisted of avocado, raw salmon, cucumber, sprouts wrapped in rice paper. The flavor was delicious when dipped into a little soy sauce and wasabi. The seaweed salad was vibrant green and delicious with flavors of vinegar and seasame. The tempura was feather light and the potstickers were as expected. Overall, I was very impressed with Temaki's mature authentic take on sushi.

This place is just flat out awesome. There is no other sushi place that will compare at this price range. You can get all kinds of food for 9 dollars if you want a combo, or just 5 dollars if you want some rolls. They also have separate sides for 3 dollars. The people working there are incredibly friendly and will talk to you and help you out with the menu. When they bring out your food, they always arrange your food in special ways, decoratively and nicely. The restaurant itself has a modern/asian look that is pleasing. This is very good sushi at a great price. I have never had a single problem from this place and I really hope it succeeds. Try it out you will like it.

I love a simple menu. When I walked into this restaurant, I was awed by the modern furnitures and utensils. I don't remember exactly what we ordered from their menu but since it only had a few items, we ordered pretty much everything (twice). I enjoyed this place a lot so if you want a relaxing atmosphere, Temaki is the place to go!

Magnolia is becoming quite the little sushi avenue! I went to Temaki Sushi for lunch after a long weekend in Austin. I had some amazing sushi while in Austin but was still craving it. Temaki Sushi seemed like a good idea and all the rocking reviews helped me decide. This place embodies Japanese minimalism. From the interior, to the menu to the prices, everything is refreshingly simple. Perhaps too simple for someone unfamiliar with sushi but I didn't mind. I had the escolar nigiri, eel sashimi, and the crispy melt signature roll. The escolar was alright but I've definitely had better. I'm used to it sort of melting away in my mouth but I found it a little...chewy almost. I order unagi at almost every sushi place. Temaki's was smaller than most places and a little dry. The crispy melt roll was pretty good but nothing spectacular. The service was fine, more functional than friendly though. It's hard to say I'd return when Shinjuku Station is just a few blocks away. Overall, it was alright but I expected more. I give them a pleased 3 stars.

My favorite little sushi place!!! Excellent food, great service, and super friendly owners! Erin and Alex are very nice and welcoming!! The atmosphere is cute, quaint, casual, and clean. I love how simple the menu is and the affordable prices are hard to beat. I HIGHLY recommend the tempura ice cream. It's to die for! Also, they just got their liquor license so no more BYOB. Not a big deal, it was definitely a plus though!! Now we can just enjoy more sake and we won't have to bother packing up a wine bottle or two!

I hate giving 5 star reviews every time I go out to eat, but Yelp really helps eliminate the riff raff as with the case with Temaki. A girlfriend and I went on a Saturday night around 830, no wait, excellent service. The young waitress gave us enough space and time to make our own decisions so we didnt feel rushed through the meal(even though we ended up being the only people in the restaurant.) I decided to stick to the basics and got the Seaweed salad and "low carb" spicy tuna roll (nix the rice, replace it with veggies.) I also tried the pomegranate sake which was served in a champagne glass unlike the traditional carafe @ $5 a glass, very refreshing. All the ingredients were extremely fresh and I really enjoyed the quiet/classy ambiance of this place. Although it did seem a bit slow for a Saturday night, I do hope to see this business flourish, it would be a shame to lose a great, affordable sushi spot.

Two sushi places on Magnolia Ave? SAY WHAAAATT??? Each place has its own merits though. I like Temaki for lunch. I hit this place up on my work break last week and I was all like, "Lemme find out about some Udon Noodles." Gotta say...pretty, pretttyy pretty good. Lady at the counter said, "Udon Noodles? Really hits the spot on a cold day, huh?" *She was totes right I went twice last week (Monday and Friday) for UDON NOODLES PART 2 : The Reckoning. I recommend this place for lunch as opposed to dinner.

Sushi is never the cheap option for dinner. Eating at home is. So, when I go out, I like to eat things that I can't make at home or things I can't make well at home. Sushi is one of those things. The affordability and deliciousness of Temaki makes it a great choice for sushi, too. Plus, I live in the surrounding neighborhood and it's close. I've been here twice and loved it both times. The first time, the dude and I shared a rainbow roll. The second time, we went back with friends for a sit-down dinner (instead of just a snack). I had the crunchy avocado roll, which was one of the specials for the day, and he got the white dragon roll. (Our friends got the rainbow and the avocado rolls.) Everyone was pleased with the value of what we got. It's great sushi for a reasonable price. Also, we ordered apps. I got the miso soup (yum) and they got orders of spring rolls for each person (also yum). I think we averaged about $23 to $25 per couple on dinner not including tip.

I really love this place! It's one of the few places that serves fresh sushi AND offers vegan food! I got a bento box. My selections: VEGAN pot stickers!!!!, miso soup, sea weed salad, and hand rolled vegetable sushi. The staff was knowledgeable and didn't look at me as if I were insane when I told them about my food preferences. They were very helpful, and discussed food options with me. The pot stickers were quite flavorful, the miso soup was as delicate but flavorful as I've ever had, and the sea weed salad had just the right amount of sesame oil and crunch!

This quickly became my favorite place for sushi in Fort Worth. The sushi is delicious and the service is prompt. Everyone that works there is super friendly. Once we got a free dish to try because they were thinking of adding it to the menu but wanted customer feedback first.

My husband and I LOVE Temaki! Its our favorite place in Fort Worth. The atmosphere is wonderful, the music is relaxing, and it is the perfect mix of a quiet neighborhood place and a sophisticated menu. The rolls are not fried and covered in sauce, but highlight the actual fish in unusual and creative ways. The owners Alex and Erin are lovely and charming and the food is to die for. Make sure you get the Rice-cetta, and try the gouda egg rolls!

Texas is very lucky to have the restaurant. Such care is taken with the rice (white). I'm from CA and eat a lot of sushi and the rice must be perfect. Yellow tail was Great. Atmosphere was really nice. Owner very hands on and kind. I will be back.

I've been here about five times, always at night, and I love the way they've evolved since they opened. Instead of a multi-page menu, or focus on "signature rolls" flanked by puddles of confetti-colored dipping sauce (not that there's anything wrong with that), Temaki has carved out a niche where they're focused on a few simple, exquisitely prepared, reasonably priced dishes made from peak quality ingredients. At least the octopus sashimi and rice paper-prosciutto-rice-salmon/avocado roll I had tonight were like that. The coconut tea was great as well, without being at all sweet.

Continue to support this great business. It is simple in concept, clean, always on point, and delicious. Their staff is friendly and helpful. Their decor is wonderful. They have great prices and excellent food! **Edit AGAIN!** I really love this place, and they make that tea all the time so I am pretty much their number #1 fan. My family was in town last week and since we have lived for 8+ years in Japan, I knew I had to run them by here. My mom got the udon and let me tell you, it is AMAZING. So yummy, and as close to Japan taste as I 've had in a long time. A few others had Ramen and they all said it was excellent. The ramen also seemed very authentic because it has tamago, tofu, and an egg in it. YUMM!!!!! **Edit** The staff is so kind here. One night my husband and I were hanging out after dinner and they offered us free mochi ice cream dessert. ******* I love the concept of this place. In this world full of expensive, cliche sushi restaurants, i like this little hole in the wall feeling place. The menu comes in 3 sections: $3, $5, and $9. The bento boxes are AWESOME! Lots of food for only 9 bucks... but let me be honest with you for a second...the reason I gave this 5 stars is because they had the most wonderful amazing iced tea. The day we went they were serving Coconut Creme tea...i didn't know such a beautiful thing existed. LOVE.

Temaki Sushi is fantastic! The miso soup was delicious, and the salads were a little small but packed great flavor (although they were priced fairly for the smaller portion). The sushi was very fresh and I appreciated that each roll was not bathed in a heavy mayonnaise sauce. The rice-cetta roll was a nice surprise and a delicious departure from typical sushi rolls. The atmosphere was laid back and relaxing, and the staff were incredibly nice and attentive. The restaurant itself has a modern/asian look that was done quite nicely. The food was priced very reasonably, especially considering the quality. I will definitely be returning to Temaki Sushi in the future!!!

This place is small, cute, and clean but I don't understand why it is rated so high. The menu is pretty tiny and simple I don't know I guess I like having choices. I got a rainbow roll without cucumber because I don't like it. I asked to switch it to cream cheese but they said it would be two dollars more. Which I thought was ridiculous anyways I got my roll with cucumber but they fixed it quickly for me. They also gave me a discount which was nice. It was an okay roll, was not the best or worse I've had. I probably won't be coming here again though.

Temaki is a great choice for lunch or dinner. It was refreshing to step into an unconventional sushi joint, and I was especially stunned at the unbeatable prices. The atmosphere is clean and bright, casual and order-at-the-counter. Choose from a selection of healthy brown rice rolls, big-as-your-fist hand rolls, and spring rolls that are light and airy but fill your belly for hours! The hand rolls are $3, and in my opinion, are worth much more than they're asking. Delightful flavored tea to complement that changes on a weekly basis. My only problem is why I don't visit more often!

The best deal in Ft Worth for sushi, in my opinion. 9 bucks actually bought a wonderful bento box (two rolls, ,etc, etc. Very filling!). The atmosphere is clean and appealing. The service was impeccable. What impressed me the most is the simple, streamlined menu. There are 3 dollar, 5 dollar and 9 dollar menus that resemble a fast food joint... But it's sushi with great presentation. It's really nice spin on sushi and I really hope they succeed. As of writing this, they've only been open a few days. They are off to a brilliant start!!!

I went to Temaki for the first time a few nights ago, but the experience was a memorable one. Their food was both beautiful and delicious. Get their cucumber rolls. I tell you this because I love you. Food aside, I was especially impressed with the service. Noticing that I hadn't touched my soup, they asked why and then immediately offered me a substitute--their seaweed salad. Now, I normally avoid seaweed salad because it can either be hit or really hardcore miss (that fishy smell...egads). Temaki's was definitely a hit. I like these folks. They're going for a low-key, unpretentious vibe but still paid attention to design elements when most folks would use the aforementioned vibe as an excuse for laziness.

After seeing lots of great reviews from Yelpers, I was very excited to take my out of town guests for sushi. Well, we were a little disappointed in the food but very happy with the service, presentation and decor. The miso soup lacked flavor (lacked miso), the batter for the tempura didn't have that light airy quality, and the sushi was average. Basically, the food lacked taste (maybe needed a little salt). I think this a pretty easy to correct so I think I would go back. Prices were good and like I said earlier, the service was good and the presentation/plates very modern and beautiful.

Nice decor, super friendly staff! California roll was a touch salty for me, but to be fair I am pregnant and wonky about smells and food. Shrimp spring roll was very nice. Tempura was fabulous and cheap, We ate 3 orders of it at $3 each between 2 adults and a toddler. My husband had the tuna and eel, he liked it very much. Seems cheap but we ended up ordering so much that it was not so cheap, but we ate it all. Very yummy, great that it's near us in biking/walking distance.

Fantastic, casual, charming little restaurant. You order at the counter, so you will save money on a tip. This will be a change for people who are used to sitting at the sushi bar and talking to the chefs. The menu is well thought out and very well organized. I had the spicy tuna endive appetizer ($3), which was fantastic. I also sampled the yellow tail nigiri and was extremely pleased with the freshness and flavor of the fish. I will be going back soon and often.

Great food! Very nice location, plates were very pleasing (as if they were designed specifically for their table size, stop, etc...). Food tasted VERY fresh. Will definitely go back

Fantastic lunch place! It takes a few experiments to find a good ordering combination. You could leave hungry if you try to order like you are at a traditional sushi place. Great service. Yummy food. Reasonable pricing.

My boyfriend and I planned to have dinner at Spiral Diner one night, but changed our minds due to how crowded it was. We rode up and down Magnolia looking for someplace else and found this very nice, cozy little sushi restaurant. It was pretty empty, and quiet...just how we like it. The service was GREAT, as was the food (only had seaweed salad and a vegetable roll). The menu is simple and nicely priced, imo. Can't wait to go back! Such a pleasant experience.

Alex and crew at Temaki made my dad's 75th birthday a wonderful experience. They were most gracious and accomodating. The food was excellent from the sea weed salad to the entrees. Favorites were the sea weed salad, the fish tank roll, and tthe soba noodles with scallops. The pork belly entry is to die for and the $21 bottle of cabernet is the best resturant wine deal in town.

I really like this place. Good on the run or sitting with my date for a nice night. Kill the lite rock over the speakers but I'm not going to take a star away from my rating because I'm here and having a good time. Thanks.

The place was nice and clean. Simple menus (not a huge selections). Owners were there and checked on us frequently and at tentative to out need. Will go back again. I think I would have give them 5 stars if they had a few more roll selections.

The sushi tasted great and the rolls were huge. The staff was friendly as could be and the service was brisk. The prices are shockingly low for a sushi place and they certainly don't skimp on quality. The staff also warmly catered to my special request (an avocado roll, which isn't on the menu) and were quite familiar with veganism. What else needs to be said? Go there and eat.

I really enjoyed my sushi lunch. Brown rice option is awesome. Hope I can cone here more often. Definitely an affordable and healthy lunch option if you want sushi. Never had brown rice taste so non-gummy. Great job and fast!!! Hope they stay around for awhile. Only downside...difficult parking.

Went to Temaki for a casual Sunday dinner. This is a really neat little place, extremely clean and a great vibe. It's casual - not the "traditional" sushi restaurant as there is no bar and you order at the counter. The owners were there and were very friendly. The menu is awesome and the prices are great - $3, $5, and $9. I got a bento box for $9 with a brown rice california roll, seaweed salad (YUM), veggie tempura and a shrimp spring roll. The fish was very fresh, the roll was beautiful and I really liked the variety on the menu. This is a great place because you can satisfy your desire for sushi and your budget at the same time! Thanks Temaki!!

We ate at Temaki on Sept. 14, 2012 while visiting Ft. Worth from San Diego, California. Although the food was very good in general, I found the tuna, yellowtail, and salmon sashimi to be small in portion and not very fresh. I also thought Temaki was overpriced for the value received.

My husband and I first tried this place last week for lunch. We absolutely loved it! We've been back 3 times in a week span. The owner is super nice. The atmosphere of his restaurant is so inviting and clean/sophisticated. My favorite roll is the Crispy Melt - OMG!! Everything that we've tried on the menu thus far has been completely satisfying! The Udon noodles are next on my list. Can't wait :)

After fueling up on caffeine at Avoca coffee for their long awaited soft open, we found to our shock and awe - the long awaited Temaki Sushi was also having their soft opening! So naturally, we headed in to Temaki for some sushi. Here's our report. First, the decor: It is very modern and minimalist, but with bright colors and interesting shapes. It really looks great. I am not a big fan of the dark sushi decor so popular in Fort Worth so this is a welcome reprieve. They also fit a lot of seating in that small space, which is good news for busy lunchtime diners. Next, the service: The woman who took our order was very nice. You order at the front, they give you a number, and someone brings your food out to you, you could call it Panera-esqe ordering. Last, but certainly not least, the food: The menu is simple, $3 sides, $5 "classics" - Temaki (handrolls), and Nigiri / Sashimi (3 pieces), and $9 signature rolls and bento boxes. The fish they offer are: tuna, salmon, yellow tail, shrimp, eel, white tuna, and flounder. I had a bento box #3 (Chef's choice of Nigiri) with sides of tempura, miso and seaweed salad. The Nigiri was salmon, white tuna, and eel. The tempura had the usual veggies and shrimp, and I was delighted to see taro in with the veggies (haven't seen that in Fort Worth before). The fish was fresh and buttery and the seaweed salad was lovely. The soup was meh, I think I will choose a different side when I return. My dining partner ordered the White Dragon Roll off of the signature menu (shrimp, tempura, asparagus, avocado). It was very good. They have Mochi on the menu for desert, although we did not order any, it is comforting to know there is now Mochi within a 1 mile radius of my house. It is also good to note that there were plenty of vegetarian options on the menu. The summary: Finally sushi comes to Magnolia. Good, fresh, affordable, open on Sundays, and within walking distance. FTW.

We went there for lunch today. My wife and I both ordered the Bento box. Food was great! Very fresh and we will def be going back. Negatives were the chairs are very uncomfortable. I noticed another reviewer mentioned this and he was right! Also, no Sake????

This is my favorite restaurant on Magnolia and the best sushi in town. I can't bring myself to eat sushi anywhere else in Fort Worth. The owner is incredibly nice and really gets customer service. They recently changed from a counter-service to full service restaurant with beer and wine. The food is super fresh and beautifully presented. Ask for the vegan potstickers. They're filled with smashed edamame instead of pork. The white dragon roll is really special too.

Excellent sushi place on Magnolia (finally!) and I utterly agree with the other 5 stars reviews of this place. The atmosphere is casual and the staff was extremely friendly. I got rainbow roll, eel roll (8 piece for $5), potstickers, and seaweed salad and everything was just well-made, delicious, and with large portions at the best value one can expect for sushi. I really hope this place succeeds because they seem to get it.

First Yelp review here! I just stopped by for lunch, and this place is going to be a favorite spot for sure! Could not believe how fresh and cheap the sushi is. White tuna nigiri was spectacular! Did not love the spicy tuna endive side, but nothing wrong with it, just not my taste. And Coconut Cream White Tea....seriously?? I don't even like tea, and I'm throwing this deliciousness back! Can't wait to try more. An added plus - everyone there was very nice and helpful.
